How do I get from Krabi to Railay Beach?
For a more direct boat access point to Railay you can go to Ao Nammao Pier. Coming from Krabi Town, you can either take a taxi (15 minutes, 350-400 Baht) or a white colored songthaew (up to one hour, 60 Baht). The boat fare is 80 Baht and they leave when full.
It is accessible only by boat due to high limestone cliffs cutting off mainland access. These cliffs attract rock climbers from all over the world, but the area is also populardue to its beautiful beaches and quiet relaxing atmosphere.
West Railay Beach is the peninsula's main beach and the most popular of the beaches to visit in Railay, but don't let that deter you from visiting. There's room here for everyone! The beach in West Railay is both long and wide, offering a similar view out to sea of that at Phra Nang Beach.
